Overview

Product Name: Hyaluronic Acid

Synonyms: Sodium Hyaluronate, Hyaluronan, Hyaluronate, HA

In 2003, the FDA approved hyaluronan injections for filling soft tissue defects. This includes facial wrinkles, lip augmentation, reduction of folds and removal of scars. Hyaluronan is biocompatible, biodegradable, non-toxic, non-teratogenic, non-carcinogenic and can prevent inflammation. It is widely used in cosmetic surgery, and is the active ingredient in several products, including: Connectivina, Equiderm, Epigel, Hyaloskin and Curiosin.

Hyaluronan powder has also been noted for its ability to heal burns. When applied, it forms a loose isolation layer, which allows it to absorb wound-exudate. In addition, it can effectively protect the wound surface, prevent the formation of scars and accelerate healing.

Stanford Chemicals provide high quality pure hyaluronic acid powder.
