What is Cross-Linked Hyaluronic Acid?
Our Cross-Linked HA gel is a viscoelastic solid formed by a chemical process using BDDE as a crosslinking agent. Unlike a solution of standard HA, Cross-Linked HA gel has improved mechanical properties and is more resistant to degradation. Its most popular use is in the field of cosmetic surgery as a dermal filler. Cross-Linked HA gel is also used as a drug carrier, in equine applications, and in joint treatment procedures.
